INKLINGS FROM THE INKSPOT
We're headed out to the Craft and Hobby Association's trade show, so wanted to get an update to you on
what's cookin' at the Inkspot. Remember that our "DATE OF THE MONTH SALE" continues through July 31.
Your entire purchase is discounted whatever the day of the month is! So if it's July 28, your discount is
28%! A lot of customers have already enjoyed some fantastic savings, so come in while the getting's good!
There are a few exceptions (not many at all), and we'll be glad to let you know what they are when we see
you!
A big shout out of THANKS to Angela Finet who is kind enough to have selected the Inkspot to teach 3
classes on Wednesday July 28. As of yesterday, each of the classes had 1 available slot, so if interested
give us a ring asap (314 822.5544). EVERYTHING is provided by Angela except for some basic things like
adhesive. Her cards from the latest Memory Box fall and winter collection are delightful and some even
frightful! Come enjoy the fun!
We also are back in the swing with our class schedule. Once again almost everything is provided for you,
and our instructors make the classes enjoyable, relaxing and productive!
MANY MINI BUTTERFLY CARDS with Maggi. Using one of our favorite new dies as the basis for 6 cards,
these minis are sure to delight! Each butterfly has a different "twist" to give you a wide range of options
on decorating them. Complete with a cute and quick sentiment, and you've got many mini greeting cards!
Use our die and Cuttlebug machine! Saturday August 14 at 10a. and Tuesday August 17 at 1p. $15.
TECHNIQUES 3 with Barb. She's baaaaaaaack with more tricks up her sleeve. The other 2 techniques
classes were quite successful, so she's pulled out 6 more including spirelli, faux suede, Brilliance resist,
"another" resist technique, triptych tear card, and cracked glue! As she did for the other classes, Barb will
give you printed instructions, and you'll make a sample and then have the option of binding it all together
for a handy reference manual! How cool! Saturday August 14 at 1p. and Wednesday August 18 at 1p. $15.
TOTE-ALLY CUTE with Maggi. Where does she think these things up?! Maggi's done it again, this time by
decorating a large and small canvas tote with Copic markers, using 1 of 4 stamps from Whippersnapper
and Penny Black! Add some glitter, flowers, ribbon- you get the picture, dontcha? Finish with a made to
match greeting card! Waaaaaaaaay adorable! Cost includes 2 tote bags! (Copic markers are preferred, but
"ok" to use Tombo markers). Saturday August 21 at 10a and Wednesday August 25 at 1p. $18
ASIAN ELEMENTS with Barb. Create 4 contemporary cards featuring the new Asian inspired stamps from
Memory Box's Poppy Stamps collection. A tribute to Asian design and culture, these cards exude
simplicity and grace. Saturday August 21 at 1p. and Wednesday September 1 at 1p. $15.
FLOURISHES -A YEAR IN FLOWERS-2011 CALENDAR with Maggi. This is VERY SPECIAL! Flourishes Rubber
Stamps are just simply- beautiful. One of their lead artists is actually from Webster Groves! How cool is
that! Anyway, Maggi has designed a spectacular 2011 calendar featuring their year in flowers sets. There
are 3 sets with 4 months of flowers/words/sentiments in each one. In a series of 3 classes, you will make a
stand up calendar with printed calendar dates by stamping the appropriate flower of the month, matting it
beautifully and highlighting with punches, a touch of glitter etc. The individual pages are about 5x7, plus
little miss genius Maggi points out that when the year is over, (and by all means, you don't want to throw
out your beautiful artwork!), you then can cut off the top portion and use as 12 different fronts for cards!
Double the pleasure! There will be 3 classes with 2 dates for each class. Each class INCLUDES the stamp
set (retail value $16.50). If you can't make all of them, there will be kits for sale later. And if you can make
all 3 classes, we'll give you a break on the price! CLASS DATES: Tuesday August 24 at 1p and Saturday
August 28 at 10a (January, February, March, April). Please call the store for September dates for Class 2
(May, June, July, August) and Class 3 (September, October, November December). Price per class $25
